  My folks and I stayed at Bethany and OC and loved both. We always rented an ocean front townhouse. With luck, early in the morning you'll see dolphins go by! If you're going before the fall, and bringing any dog(s), you can't take the dog onto the beach - at least that was the rule some years ago. Check on current regs if that's a concern. And please check out Lombardi's Restaurant in OC - been in business forever - vegan pasta options include garlic and olive oil sauce, pesto sauce, marinara etx. YUM! www.lombardisrestaurant.com
