  You've got The English Whisky Company about an hour away, and they're definitely worth a visit: https://www.englishwhisky.co.uk/ It seems you also have the English Spirit Distillery a bit closer – I've not heard of them, but they look interesting: http://www.englishspiritdistillery.com/ And if you like gin, there's The Cambridge Distillery, although they're more of a lab than an old fashioned distillery. The tour won't be quite as interesting (unless you like rotovaps), but Will Lowe is a bit of a gin king: http://www.cambridgedistillery.co.uk/
