  I'm sure you all want to read another moving post! Sorry, but it must be done! My boyfriend and I are moving down in July from New England for his job. Question #1: I am a certified Teacher of the Deaf and fully bilingual in ASL. I'm looking for a new teaching position, can you all recommend any schools or districts to check out? Or know of any schools looking for someone like me? I have two interviews set up already, but the more the merrier. Question #2: Most of the places we are scheduled to tour are in Metairie. Was this a good call? Is it decently safe over there? Does anyone have other recommendations? Ideally we are seeking a two bedroom place and trying to keep rent under $1000 (a dream, I know). Thanks to anyone willing to help. We're really excited about this move! Seems like an awesome place!

  Maritime academy is looking for teacher for the Deaf. Check out worknola.com. They’re located on the West Bank, you can definitely afford living there on a teachers salary but 2 bedrooms under $1000 dont exist unless you want to live in a terrible neighborhood with a terribly unkept apartment. It should be more affordable than in the city but still not $1000 for 2 bedroom prices.
