It would have to at least have 2 bedroom and be furnished. I know there are heaps of those hotels along the Wharf but I just need it for the location and not for the view so I cant really justify paying almost 3k a month for those places. It just needs to have access to a kitchen and a bed thats all I require - just the essentials. Does anyone have any good places or recommendations?

In theory you should be able to get a temporary room in someone's place near to the area for around $150/week, but in practice that will of course depend on availability and how keen people are to rent the room to a temp. RarelySaysMuch replied:AirBnb is not suited to longer stays. You can try contacting a host to see if they are interested in blocking out some dates and doing it off the books for a different rate but they may not want to if they haven’t had you stay before. As you’ve no doubt realised 3 months is a bit of an awkward length to stay but if serviced apartments are too expensive you could look at a shared arrangement on something like flatmates.com.au.

Before anyone judges, she's practically my child, prior to getting her I was in a very stable job and had good prospects, getting a dog at the time was no issue and no way did I foresee this happening. however my wife got really sick and I spent all our savings trying different treatments for her so she could get better and we could walk away from this, when she got real bad I quit my job to look after her, when I started seeing things getting very glim (savings getting low) I purchased 6 months worth of food for the puppy just incase. Wife is now gone and unfortunately just need time to get back on my feet and don't have anywhere for my puppy to stay, will be a max of 6 months looking for places that take dogs in for 'rescue' untill owner can get back on feet and take dog back? I will not be giving her away - I just can't do that. I have 6 months of food for her and have about $2500 in savings left that I will hopefully use to pay for a place to take puppy in. Any recommendations? Not looking for hand outs. Thanks so much!
