  Try going to the rescue organisations first: http://www.bordercollierescue.co.za/ and on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Border-Collie-Rescue-SA/130068410401353 . They may have the perfect one looking for a home, and can at least point you to reputable breeders and help you avoid nasty puppy mills.

  Hi, we have searched since December last year (when our dear old Border Collie died) for a Border Collie pup - they are not easy to find. Perhaps try the Border Collie Rescue centre on www.bordercollierescue.co.za as they sometimes have young pups - r ecently they had 4 beauties advertised but for us it was a question of how to get the pup down from Gauteng. Be careful of Gumtree - In March, we eventually found a "pedigreed" Border Collie on Gumtree, but she was most definitely NOT pedigreed and also came to us full of hookworm, which got into her bloodstream, and we lost her just two weeks after we got her, which was heartbreaking. Good luck with your search and I do hope you find a pup soon - Border Collies are just the best dogs!
