This seems a bit much. I’ve owned BMWs before so I know what I’m in for as far as German maintenance. Anyone here can recommend a location or solution for a cheaper way to get this done? For clarification. I don’t want cheap brakes. I just think $1,200 is a high ball price. Pretty sure buying the brakes/rotor and having someone install would be cheaper. Thanks
StutteryG replied:[fcpeuro.com](https://fcpeuro.com) is a great site if you're at all handy & can do it yourself. I just replaced my front & rear brake pads for \~$140. I just checked rotors for your car & it looks like you can pick up all 4 for between $250 - $300 depending on the trim.

For future reference, you can look up the BMW part number for whatever it is you're trying to replace at [RealOEM.com](https://www.realoem.com/), and then search the aforementioned sites (or amazon, ebay, whatever) to see who has what in stock, and compare their shipping rates etc.
