  I need an AFFORDABLE barrel for a precision-ish AR-15 project. The search for the right barrel has been a little frustrating. I have emailed 3 different barrel makers so far with simple questions like "Is barrel XYZ dimpled for a gas block?" and none have returned my emails. I am trying to give someone some money but no one wants it! I would prefer 16" with mid-length gas but could be talked into 18" with rifle gas. What do you recommend?   Get a Contour Roam, that's what I have and I bought the picatinny rail mount, it's waterproof by itself but also make a waterproof housing for diving, and it's cheaper than the gopro. www.rainierarms.com and they have a mil/leo discount.
