  Recommendations for international Pet Transport from USA to UK? My partner and I will be relocating to the Scotland sometime this summer assuming all the paperwork goes through. We have two cats that we are looking to bring with us. After doing some research it appears the UK does not permit pets to arrive in cabin on aircraft from outside the UK. I've heard horror stories about how pets are treated as cargo on commercial airliners. I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with any pet transport companies - good or bad. I've done a quick google search but its hard to find any reviews for them. I have literally no idea who I'd be trusting my pets to.

  That's probably about right for that size of a dog. I used http://www.airanimal.com/ when we moved here 7 years ago from Denver. Brought 2 dogs - total weight about 150 pounds with their crates - and it was a little over US$2000. They did a great job and kept us posted the entire time as we came down a few days ahead of the dogs. We moved in April - dogs were shipped as cargo so they were in a temp controlled part of the plane (vs. excess baggage). For us, it was worth paying the experts to ensure our dogs got here safely.
