  Hey everyone, I live in the plain city area and I'm having some electrical problems with my 1999 beetle. I don't have brake lights, blinkers or hazards and every time I replace the fuses they blow within a minute. We took apart all the bulbs and cleaned the connections so I think I have a short somewhere in it. I was wondering where is a good place to get it fixed.   Hey Karissa! Hmm, if you are in Plain City, would you be OK to come to Marysville? Check out Jon's Auto on route 4 heading north out of Marysville, on your way to Richwood. (If you hit Cty Rte 347, you've gone too far.) Here is his website, www.jonsautocare.com,he runs a business out of his house on the left side of Route 4 if you're heading north. It's a white farmhouse, black shutters, with a detached 2-stall garage. I have not personally been there, but a lot of people have asked me about him! I drove by a couple times, and he always seems to have Jettas and Golfs sitting outside.

  Anyone know much about Volkswagen cars or someone who does? I have a used 2010 Jetta Sportswagen I just bought 3 months ago that has a problem with the diesel particulate filter. The dealer is saying $2000 to fix, and apparently the part itself is $1200. All the forums are saying this is a common issue with this model. I am hoping there is a way to clean it rather than replace it altogether. But since I just bought this thing, it is a big bummer ... Any suggestions welcome. Thank you!

  I had this problem in my old (2002) TDI but haven't had it in our 2010 TDI. I trust Northland in town with TDIs but for any real problems w the 2002 TDI I would drive up to St. Mary Ohio and see John who is a genius with TDIs. http://www.jonsautocare.com/about.html Once he had me scrubbing the filter while he serviced the rest of the car. Brilliant, affordable and and upright guy, and if you wan to learn about how your car works he will tell you all about it!
