Are there any vets in this group who could advise? My daughter and her partner have had a lovely Lhasa Apso for a few months now, and now they decided to get her a friend, another Lhasa. They went to see a puppy last week whom they liked, however it now transpires that the puppy has a small hernia. The current owner quoted vet's description of the problem as "small inguingal hernias both sides; just fat coming through and both reducible at the moment". Whilst my daughter understood that this could be easily operated on at the same time as when the boy is neutered she is worried about potential long-term consequences/side effects and the associated costs.. Her online research produced conflicting results.. Would someone with knowledge in this area be able to advise on how likely is it for long-term complications/side effects to arise in the future?
