  I'd suggest a Jeep as well. You can get the benefits of a convertible car rental, but also have the ruggedness of the Jeep. As far as companies go that serve [Puerto Vallarta rental cars](https://www.autorentals.com), I'd recommend Mex Rent A Car or Sixt Rent A Car. Good luck!

  Autorentals.com has good rates. I got a mini van back in June for 127.00 for five days. Just be sure to check if they are covered in all the lower 48 states. Some only let you take them to border states of your home state.
