  I'm looking for some help... I suffer from asthma. Over the past 4 years it has gotten more chronic than it used to be. I have gone the typical medical route of Dr.s and meds, but I'm now at the point where the side effects of the meds are more profound than the relief I get. I'm currently entering my second week of an elimination diet to see if changing the way I eat brings about some significant relief, but today the asthma is kicking my butt. Has anyone used alternative medicine or methods to deal with chronic asthma and had positive results? Are there any specialists out there who look to doing more than just writing a prescription? Any referrals for homeopathic or eastern medicine practitioners? I'm desperately desiring to wake up without feeling I'm gasping for breath. I'm craving a workout like crazy... I'm not meant to be sedentary, but I'm not getting to do these things because it takes so much darn energy just to breathe sometimes!
