Does anyone know good muscle energy techniques to isolate each of the quads? I tried looking it up on the Internet, but I am only finding body building sites and info. I'm looking for this to help a client that I've been working with who's knee was replaced in May. We've mostly restored his ROM and his ease of motion. His orthopedic surgeon said that he still has atrophy in his distal quads. We've had great success with the METS that we've been using and he is extremely active (he plays tennis several days per week and has continued to do his exercises prescribed by his physical therapist). In addition to the METs I've been using various manual massage techniques and have seen the overall health of the tissues improve , especially in regards to the flexibility and mobility of the skin and the scar from the surgical incision.
