  anybody know any Cuban bakeries in the metro? I'm a South Florida native that's been craving the typical Cuban bakery fare - ham croquettes, papas rellenas, empanadas, guava pie, cafe cubano, etc. any good spots between portland and vancouver to get my fix? I saw like two places in town that have papas rellenas but it's like 7 bucks for a fancy plate of two and I'm more looking to get like a box of a half dozen and a bunch of other pasteries. I know we're well covered for cuban sandwiches here. thanks all!

  If you live in Seattle and like Cuban food, I highly recommend La Isla in Ballard. Ello Kittee suggested we give it a try and I am so glad we did. She had an amazing looking Cuban Sandwich and I had the Ropa Vieja. We also shared some tostones which were amazing. We rarely get dessert in a restaurant, but they had this sort of coconut custard sprinkled with cinnamon that is seriously one of the best tasting deserts I've ever tasted.
