  HELP!!!!!!! I just found this poor baby stuck under a fence, exhausted, thirsty, and terrified. Does anyone know of anyway to help this poor baby??? Or know an emergency vet that could help??? We are giving him water through a syringe and have him in the AC. His panting is getting better but he seems like he has been under this fence for days. Please help in any way you can.

  Aiken Animal Hospital on Banks Mill Rd. has a vet on call all weekend. 803 648 4401. the recording will give you the emergency number. A vet tech will either answer or call you right back. There is also the emergency clinic 24 hours a day in columbia 803 561 0015. 3924 fernandina rd. there is also a 24 clinic in augusta near the mall, but you are probably closer to columbia. poor little guy is probably suffering from heat stroke/exhaustion. need fluids probably.

  Our 3 yr old, Artie, had an accident a week and a half ago. I heard him crying in the back yard and found him on his side in terrible pain. I took him to the vet who sedated and xrayed him and could find nothing broken. He gave him pain meds and a muscle relaxer for the huge muscle spasm he had in his shoulder. He feels much better, muscle spasm has resolved but he is still limping but is bearing weight on the leg. The vet said to give it until the end of the week and then he wants to refer him to a specialist if he isn't greatly improved. I would appreciate any recommendation for a specialist who knows greyhounds. Any other thoughts about his condition would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Angie Griner Dowdy

  Angie http://www.scvsec.com is where we refer to. They are wonderful. If you were up for the drive to Augusta, we have an orthopedic specialist named Dr. Cook that comes up from Mt. Pleasant, SC. He's very good also. I could also email him and see if he'll be anywhere closer to you soon.
