  Recommendations for who to work with to get granite/quartz countertops installed? Hi guys, I am in the process of remodeling my kitchen. I’d like to get either granite or quartz countertops installed since they are fairly similar in price. I’ve been to all the box stores (ikea, Home Depot and lowes) but the options are limited, quite expensive and I’d like to pick out my own slab if possible. Has anyone had their kitchen redone recently and gone straight to an installer, cut out the middle man (HD, Lowe’s) and had a good experience? I’d love some recommendations, I am in north Jersey.

  www.marble.com there warehouse is in South Plainfield. There prices are very good. Also there are 2 places on Wilson Ave in Newark that have amazing prices as well. One of them did ours.

  All Granite and Marble in Ridgefield Park.(marble.com). They can cut larger sections without gluing pieces together. They cut an,L shaped counter in one piece where ever one else told us 2 pieces. They will,do their measurements, and your counter will be cut and installed the following week..

  We used marble.com in ridgefield park. They have a huge yard to pick from. They were pro's and very easy to work with. Install was a breeze.

  We used marble.com / ridgefield park/ so did my parents they have a HUGE selection and tons of slabs- first you look at small pieces in the showroom then they take you around in a golf cart so you can pick your specific slab

  Can anyone recommend someone who refinishes cabinets? My parents refaced the kitchen cabinets around 1990. Kitchen is in need of an update. The original boxes are solid wood and still good. I want the refacing taken off, the cabinets sanded down and either painted or stained. I am not interested in gutting the kitchen. Also need new counter and backsplash.

  Sandy, I used some place in south plainfield that had a huge selection, good prices and did a great job with our kitchen remodel. It was called All Granite and Marble. They serve south and central jersey. website is marble.com i think.

  Marble.com is the name believe it or not. They have slabs and all scraps. They let you wander around and look through it all. Then they will pull out what you like. You can tell them exactly what part if the piece you like and they will try to use that if measurements work. Good luck. Oh they were cash or certified check if I remember correctly. Search for them and you'll find address. They have other stores as well.
