My Subie should probably be done with the repairs next week. Has anyone on here been through an accident and been somewhat successful with getting a fairly decent diminished value compensation from your insurance? If so any good independent appraisers you have used cause I feel my insurance is gonna give me the shaft and am gonna take a nose dive in value. Any info would be appreciated!

  Well from what I am reading is that insurance likes to short change people using a formula to calculate the lost value without seeing the vehicle... The independent appraisal for diminished value comes in (paid out of pocket by you) if you don't agree with the appraisal and from there they can physically appraise and evaluate the value of the car before the accident and what it's worth now after the accident.
