  When we replaced our 2 nd floor carpet last year, we got several quotes. There was a significant difference in the quantity of carpet quoted in each, with Lowes being the highest. Once you decide on the type of carpet you want, my recommendation is to ignore the carpet price and get multiple quotes so you can compare total job costs. We went with Top Floors in Suwanee (topfloorsusa.com, 770-271-7298, Chuck Coffer 404-392-8368) and got a better grade of carpet for lower total cost and they did a good job. By the way, I hate the carpet industry sales and labeling practices that make it practically impossible to comparison shop the carpet itself.
