Refused to honor the terms of the contract. Did not fully complete repairs.
Promised completion within 6-8 weeks. When questioned about the excessive delays, he stated on more than one occasion that if we could find someone else to complete the work, go ahead. His response was "everyone is busy", and "This is not the only job my subs or I are pricing or working on.". The project remains incomplete after 4+ months (as of this post). Perhaps he should stop taking on additional work until he fulfills his current obligations.
He was instructed to have no further contact with my wife, due to his disrespectful behavior, and he failed to respond to our certified letter, which ended up in Ohio, because his mail was forwarded. We expect our contractors to be available to be onsite if necessary, or at the very least let us know when they will be away for an extended period of time during the course of a project. We will not use Phillips again, nor will we recommend him.
Looking for someone who remodels kitchens. Any suggestions ?
