  Off to Ireland in the summer and thinking of a wee break for a few days . Can anyone recommend a good B&B or Holiday home in the North West / West. Will be based in Derry and fancy exploring Sligo / Leitrim / Mayo sort of area.

  We went to Achill last summer, Thomas, and it was one of the best family holidays we ever had. We camped, but if you try and get somewhere near Keel and spend some time at keem, the beach at the end of the island, you will not be sorry! Definitely go to http://www.gieltys.com/ - They picked us up from the Keem in a wee mini van for free and took us home again after a wonderful meal and a wee pint. They welcomed the children and it is really family friendly. There is always a traditional session or a singsong going on at Gielty's! - Also if you go take the kids on the seaweed safari - it is so much fun, we collected loads of seaweed we could eat, the woman is a native of the island and so passionate about it. Conor now calls them sea vegetables and we harvest them from our beach at home!
