  Being new to SB, one of my greatest sadnesses has been (and continues to be) the number of animals, both pets and wildlife, that are killed or injured on SB. So I have several questions ... please respond. 1. Are we sure there is nothing we can do to get the county to put in speed bumps, flashing lights, patrols or reduce the posted speed? Have we tried a petition or any united effort before? 2. Where is the closest emergency vet clinic if we do come across an injured pet? 3. Is there a wildlife rescue/rehab clinic that will take injured animals that might be saved? If so, who and where? I can't prevent nature from taking it's course, but would love to minimize the human damage. Thanks to those of you who have lived here longer.
