Obviously we can all find treasures at our local thrift/resale shops . . . . but I’m looking for the best sources online to buy new furniture. Specifically: a sofa/loveseat, mattresses, bed frames with a headboard, dining table/dining set. The design aesthetic I’m looking for is clean, mid-century modern, nothing frilly, basic with style.

  American Furniture Warehouse is the clear answer here. While their quality may not be much higher than Ikea, at least the furniture is all assembled and they have a huge selection.
