I count my blessings that I began to take my little Pom mix, Amy, to Pawfection Ranch about 6 months ago. I had heard that there were new owners in the past year and was happy to hear that. I had not heard good things about the previous ownership. It looks like some of these reviews were written before Emma and her husband bought Pawfection Ranch.
Walking in the door I knew that we were in the right place. The staff and owner (Emma) were friendly, the dogs coming out looked happy and beautifully groomed, and anyone could look right into the grooming area to see the dogs being groomed gently.
My little Amy, was completely relaxed walking in. I didn't have to leave her there all day like I had to do with past groomers. As soon as she was finished I got a pleasant call that she was ready. The issues she had, like some skin, ear and anal gland issues, were taken seriously and addressed.
Each time I have taken her there, the same groomer, Theresa, has come to the front to get her and asked me about any new issues that needed attention. Theresa noticed any little change in her skin or ears and discussed them with me. She used 3 different shampoos (including a shampoo to bring out the shine in Amy's black coat) to keep her skin clear. It was clear that each dog was special to them. Amy certainly was. She came out of the shop looking beautiful and happy with every detail taken care of. I am so grateful to have found Emma and her staff.
Sadly my little Amy passed away a week ago from cancer, the symptoms coming on suddenly. I received a heartfelt call from Emma expressing their sympathy and their love for Amy, although I don't know how they knew. . She was a special dog and I am so grateful that she had the kind of TLC that she received at Pawfection Ranch. Thank you Emma and Theresa from me and Amy.

I'm looking for a good, reliable pet groomer for my small dog. I am so weary because we had a horrible experience the last time. I would trim him myself; however, he won't sit still and it is beginning to look like a major mess.

OK, after years of rescuing furrkids that need haircuts all the time, and dealing with many many groomers, I really hated most of them, till I found Pawfection ranch across from howards flea market in homosassa, now I know your saying to far, but listen, i live down here and take my kids up there..Mel always says its about the dogs first, she doesn't use kennels, the kids can roam free, eat, pee, etc all 9 of my recues even ones with issues LOVE going there, she is wonderful with them, really luvs what shes doing. the prices are the best too, she goes by weight, my little ones are between $25-$35 for 10-20 lb poodles, shihtzus etc.. mind you she is soooooooo good you have to wait about a month for an appt.. but i am soo at ease leaving 2-6 of my kids at a time, and they always look, smell, feel great and seem so happy when i pick em up. sorry to be so long winded, i am no relation, and get no benefits from them, just want furrkids to have a great time, great cut, and reasonable costs... http://pawfectionranch.com/ ps 6 great cuts cost me $200 last time.
