Just wondering how much everyone paid for their wedding band/dj and what it included on their night?
Also any good band recommendations while you're at it please, getting married at grazing at gundaroo in may 2016!
Lauren S. replied:
We used 3D entertainment from memory they were about $550 and you just need to provide an entertainers meal for them. We got married at the grazing too so that price included the travel but that was nearly 2 years ago. I think they were there from 5-11.30. Ps if you haven't sorted a cake feel free to check out my page. Currently taking orders from late feb 2016 :) www.facebook.com/shakespearescakespherewww.shakescakescanberra.com Pps the team at grazing are amazing! Good venue choice :)

Hi Canberra mums
Looking to learn how to bake cakes and cupcakes! I saw a post on here recently about this but alot of the courses suggested (CIT and laTorte etc) seem to be cake decorating courses and are based on the assumption you can already bake the cake that needs to be decorated! I am a girl who can barely do tea and toast without burning the house down! Didn't have a much of a female influence growing up and always took an interest in woodwork and football in school over home economics and cupcakes...so I'm actually looking to learn how to bake cakes from scratch before I progress onto the decorating courses. keen to learn this new skill before my maternity leave is up at the end of next year....does anyone know of any courses that cater for novices like me?
Lauren S. replied:
Hi there, I do offer beginners courses through my business www.shakescakescanberra.com but the cakes are premade due to the time involved in baking and I haven't listed my classes for 2015 at this point. However, I would be more than happy to teach you how to bake or even just point you in the direction of some super easy recipes to start off with if you want? Baking is one of those things that you can do 100 times successfully and then the next time it will just flop for no reason.... persistence is key :). Thanks for the tag Ashleigh xx
Hi,
We are looking for a modern, creative and highly recommended cake maker to attend our wedding open night at Poachers Pantry on the 4th of Feb. Who has everybody been using for their wedding cakes/ cupcakes/ macaron towers lately?
