ARKHAM: Brooklyn Gothic Party
About us
ARKHAM started as a one night event at Peggy O'Neill's in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn in August of 2008. ARKHAM became a monthly event in August of 2010 at Public Assembly in Williamsburg, and after two months moved to Boulevard Tavern in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. In December 2010, ARKHAM held its holiday event at Teneleven in Manhattan's East Village. ARKHAM continued at Boulevard Tavern until April 2012, closing out our run there with a special "Dark Shadows" tribute party that featured a live video chat with original series actress, Kathryn Leigh Scott (Maggie Evans/Josette du Pres).
ARKHAM resumed at Don Pedro in East Williamsburg on July 28th, 2012, and continued every Last Saturday as of October 27th, 2012. After a run of over four great years, ARKHAM's time at Don Pedro came to an end on February 24th, 2017, after it was announced that the building was sold and that Don Pedro would be closing its doors permanently.
ARKHAM moved to the Last Friday of the month at our current venue, Bizarre Bushwick, on March 31st, 2017. In May of 2017, DJ Jose Frances retired from his residency at ARKHAM to focus on his monthly radio shows at Dark Dance Radio.

ARKHAM's resident DJ is DJ Cyclonus. Each month features different guest DJs from the NYC area goth scene. The DJs at ARKHAM spin Goth, Industrial, Synth, EBM, Darkwave, Cold Wave, Deathrock, and dark themed music from the 1980s. In addition to the music, ARKHAM focuses on creating a Lovecraftian atmosphere, and our projector features horror and science-fiction movies and TV shows from all eras, with a focus on less mainstream productions and cult classics.
Occasionally, instead of a guest DJ, we may bring in a live band performance featuring a local band from the NYC area goth scene. On nights that a band is performing, we charge a $5 cover until the band's... show more performance is complete. The proceeds of this cover charge goes directly to the performing artists, and as such we appreciate your support of our local bands!
