Looking for a good therapist Can anyone recommend a good therapist in the area that's taking new patients? My wife and I are having some issues, and the person we just saw was a complete goofball, and utterly useless, and now we're back to square one.
In a perfect world, they take BCBS, and are located in the Northtowns, but we're definitely at the point where we're prioritizing competence and availability.
Thanks!

If you're on BCBS you can see if there are any virtual options available. I'm on BCBS of WNY and virtual therapy through doctorsondemand.com is free. I found a fantastic therapist through it and haven't paid a dime.
Can anyone recommend any good therapists in town? I’m sure I can’t be the only one on here looking, so let’s get people the help they need, and therapists the business they need.

I've had good experience with Doctor On Demand - [doctorondemand.com](https://doctorondemand.com). It's like skype with doctors, and they have a section for mental health as well. As much as I'd love to only support local businesses, healthcare can pretty expensive depending on insurance and this option has worked well for me.

Is there a clinic in the Victoria area???

My family got sick as well. Someone recommended www.doctorondemand.com They're great! It's free right now for Harvey impacted areas, you just have to use the code Harvey2017. You get 15 minutes with a real doctor and they will prescribe you whatever they think you might need to whatever pharmacy you choose. The medication isn't free, but be sure to ask for generic.
Anyone know of a doctor around here who does house calls? My Mom hates going to the doctor (I've tried countless times to get her to one) and her health is deteriorating. Are there any doctors around here that would make house calls to see her at her place?

Depending on the care she needs, you could also try an online consultation like [Doctors on Demand] (http://www.doctorondemand.com).
Where can I find a secular therapist? I've been struggling with depression and I'm working up the nerve to actually try to get some help. I live in Alabama though, right in the middle of the bible belt. I don't want to set up an appointment and pay to see a therapist that's going to just try to convince me that I need to work on my "spiritual health" and tell me that Jesus is the answer to my problems. Are there any resources to find a non-religious therapist?

Decent walk-in clinics ITP? I'd like to verify with a professional if I just have a cold or if there's a legit infection since I haven't improved in, like, 3 days.
I probably won't be able to get into my primary care doctor any time soon (he books up like whoa) - can anyone recommend a good urgent clinic? Preferably not Wellstar - they're super expensive (and for profit) and my insurance doesn't cover urgent care that well.
Thanks!

This might sound crazy as shit, but I had good luck with [Doctor on Demand](http://www.doctorondemand.com/). Stuck my camera phone in my mouth and everything, got an Rx.
Hey neighbors... My daughter and I are both sick and my doctors office recommended that we go to an urgent care clinic near us so we can both be seen. Any recommendations?

I would just use the Dr On Demand app. & it's only $40 and they are amazing. We use it all the time, even when we are really sick. That way you don't even have to get out of bed. Hope you guys feel better!
Are there any doctors that still make house calls?
Daniele P. replied:
Denise Holton DeCrescito I read something about www.doctorondemand.com. It's a virtual service where you can see a doctor using an app like Skype. Good luck, feel better!
Has anyone used the Urgent care at 51st? any good?
Dan H. replied:
If you need something like antibiotics and other things that don't require narcotics, stitches, etc. Use the Doctor on Demand app from your phone. You get to video chat with a doctor immediately in your house and it only costs $40. They can send prescriptions directly to the pharmacy of your choice. Used them a couple times when kids have ear infections, or when I had a suspected cellulitis in my arm. http://www.doctorondemand.com/
Anyone in Austin have left over antibiotic eye drops ? I'm dying and can't get in with my eye doc. Or if anyone knows an optometrist or ophthalmologist that could call in a prescription for me, I know exactly what I need.

Chelsea, try the dr on demand app. It allows you to do an immediate phone/video consultation. This came out earlier this year (brainchild of Dr. Phil and his son) and gets great reviews. Cost was $40 a consultation. http://www.doctorondemand.com/
Just used Dr Phil's new medical site Doctor on Demand. Face to face with MD who prescribed skin cream I needed. What a great service. $40! Dermatologist visit would've been $200, without insurance reimbursement.

For last-minute you can always do Doctor on Demand. My daughter and I have used it and we're very pleased. They will even call your prescriptions in to your local pharmacy. Also look online for free code I got my first office visit free. It's very easy you just click on the link and you'll be put in a holding pattern and see the doctor when it's your turn will be about 3 - 5 minutes. You just type what your issue is and they will pick the right position to contact you. It's a win-win I think
