  Hey Artists - just so you know - TAM will be doing shows in 2014 revolving around Survivalist/Prepper culture and apocalyptic visions in March, and one about Surveillance and the Flaneur in June with another about Objecthood (along the lines of a Hammer Thing show 2.0) coming up in August. I mention this because we are open to suggestions and recommendations from all our artist friends out there for artists suitable for consideration for any of these shows, particularly in the SoCal area (due to small shipping budget).   Our project - www.goodfootproject.com - is based in sustainability, though prepping and surviving certainly has been a part of our journey. We prepped for the worst - and fortunately it did not materialize during our trip. We had opportunities to live with families who do prep/survive and farm, and also lived in a community that, though founded on Dooms Day predictions in the '60 s, has developed into a fully self-sustainable community and HOA today. We've lived in earthships and farms and camps for six months. We've butchered animals, built made cider, We've got photos from our expedition but they may not be racy enough for your exhibition...we did not encounter any of the outlandish, over-the-top, 6,000 rounds of ammunition types that Hollywood portrays as preppers - though I am certain they do exist. Our focus has been on developing truly sustainable practices...in my mind, learning these are the best preparation one can make to ensure survival of a habitable planet. We are in AZ now, heading back to LA Monday if you want to talk.
