Best/Honest mechanics in Raleigh area? I just moved to wake forest, my check engine light came on and I’m scared to take it to a dealership because I don’t know a lot about cars and don’t want to be taken advantage of. Anyone have a reliable mechanic that they go to consistently? From my experience the only way to be 99% safe is usually finding one through friend of a friend type methods but, since I don’t know anyone out here it makes it a tad more difficult. Would appreciate any input. Also, if anyone wants to meet up and hang out after this quarantine is over let me know, I would love to meet new people around here.

Check out Creech Import Repair. They service domestic and most major JDM/KDM. Have used them for the majority of my auto repairs for a Honda, Chevy, and Subaru. They do not service Euro imports. https://www.creechimport.com/ Edit: Get the check engine light read for free at an auto parts store. It might be something very simple like a cheap sensor that you could replace yourself. You can Google the diagnostic code. One of the most common check engine lights is failure to fully close the gas cap.
