Curious... But has anyone tried botox to help with migraines? I have had my doctor and neurologist suggest it but feel weird about needles in my head lol.
Jeremy W. replied:
Go to www.mychronicmigraine.com it is a great site from Allergan (the company that makes Botox) that allows you to put in your zipcode and lists all headache specialists in your closest proximity. If you don't already have a good neuro this site will help you find one experienced with injecting botox. It is definitely important to find someone experienced because it makes a huge impact on your outcome with that drug.
Okay people help me out, so I'm looking for a new doctor that's good.... No one that bullshits me around and is a retard like the lady I see now lol. And I'm in Wooster! Any ideas??

Kati- Dr Bonezzi is amazing but she's not accepting new patients right now. She does Botox but only cosmetically. Not medical Botox like you need. You need to go to mychronicmigraine.com and find a Dr that specializes in medical Botox. I know what your going thru. Maybe one day both you and I can have some relief!! 😊
Was wondering a couple things. 1. how hard is it to get SSI disability for chronic migraines
2. Does anyone know a specialist that does Botox and has financial assistance in Northern California or Southern Oregon.
Chronic A. replied:
it isn't impossible to get SSI but you are doing yourself a huge favor if you do it through an attorney. file on your own first, you are likely to be denied, it is the way they do things...the attorneys get a flat 6% and only get paid when you win, so it is in their best interest to help you. also the date is retroactive to the date you file. for the drs. you can try headache.org and mychronicmigraine.com for drs in your area that do botox. you want to make sure you have someone that knows what they are doing. Hope this helps, if you need more just ask!! Cat
