  Locks of Love charges on a scale based on ability to pay. I just don't like to see a charity get put down if the facts are not entirely true. Snopes is always a good source to turn to if you want to know the truth.

  The places are locksoflove.com , americancancersociety, stjude.com , pantene/hairdonation...etc google yhem, some even send you the ups pickup label..and there are 6-8-12 inches.

  If it's an even 10 inches after the layers are cut and whatnot then her hair will benefit a child at Locks of Love- if not, they sell it for a profit. I donated 14 inches two summers ago and did tons of research

  I went regular hair salon, they put it in a pony tail and you put it in a zip lock bag. You send it to who you choose. I donated my hair to pantene. They don't sell their wigs to cancer patients and locks of love does.

  When my sister did it I believe she went to a place in Westlake. Don't remember the name. But they also did the cut and style for free since she was donating it. They sent it to locks of love
