  ATTEN: WEST MECK LUNCH GROUP!! I NEED SUGGESTIONS: The monthly lunch will be coming up soon, and following our recent adventurous nature of trying different locations, I have been looking around. Now, at the last lunch, we had suggestions for Beauregard's on Freedom Drive and for The Open Kitchen -- both excellent choices. However, neither one opens until 4:00 on Saturdays. I thought about The Captain's Cap seafood restaurant in Belmont - it opens at 3:00 on Saturdays. We have had good success at the Golden Corral last month and the other buffet the month before. However, one comment from the folks coming from the East side of town is that we are getting a bit far West for their drive, and the folks on the West side are saying they don't want us to go too far East. I'm right in the middle, so I'm good either way. So, give me some suggestions. I need to get this ball rolling before next week! There is an excellent buffet in the edge of Gastonia and another one down Independence toward the edge of Mint Hill, but again, I am afraid the drive is too far for folks. It doesn't have to be buffet, but we will need someplace that can handle 25 - 30 of us (our usual crowd plus any new folks hopefully) and we don't want to get too "pricey". If I don't get some suggestions by Friday so I can contact the restaurants over the weekend, ya'll might just be stuck with whatever I can pull out of my hat. So help me out. What do you say?

  The Burger Company on Morehead St. They are pretty resonable priced...

  The Burger Company is a good suggestion. I was there recently around 2:00 to 3:00 in the afternoon. The place was not crowded, the food was very good. I am sure they would love to have the business. The Burger Company is on West Morehead Street just up the way from Pinky's and about a block-and-a-half from the Open Kitchen.
