Have been looking at and helping some friends who want to start a hair salon business in a new housing area where residents don't have access to any such service. They have secured suitable premises and I am helping them with a business plan. They need start up capital of around R20 000.00 for what seems a very realistic and viable venture that will create two jobs and put food in the mouths of a needy family as well as bringing a useful service to a poor community. Any suggestions or ideas about where I can direct them to source some seed capital? (If I weren't in such a cash flow hole while I wait for my pension to come through I'd have put up the money for them, but I can't this time around.)
