Jack's Fork Campground and Canoe Rental is the absolute best. Right on the river. The staff is wonderful and always so willing to accommodate. To make a reservation call 573-858-3224. Booking ahead is helpful advice also.
Need Help! The cabins we stayed in last year at Current River are already booked. (unless we want a cabin without air conditioning in July) Anyone have a recommendation for us?
Anyone know the number to jasons campground on the jack forks river? None of the numbers I have work including the 800 numbers. Or does anyone know of a good family campground around there with camper electric spots

Jason- Call akers Ferry in the morning. It's the only time I've had anyone answer this time of year. I always call 573-858-3224 or 573-858-3286.
Heading to Current River next weekend. I think we are staying at Jason Place Campgrounds. Any suggestions? Is there a fire ban? Also I read online somewhere you have to pay for showers?!

Jo S. replied:
Jason Place is private and run by Akers Ferry Canoe Rental (or vice versa) Google them for specifics on the campground, which is not on the river. Fire bans are in place until further notice, but like other places, various types of cooking fires are permitted. Fees for most showers in the Ozarks are nominal...the outfitters are just trying to cover the cost of maintenance.
