Florida chameleon wranglers! I'd like to get y'alls personal recommendations on a vet you trust to take your chams to. I'd like to get one of my pardalis looked at. I'm located in central Florida but I'd be happy to make the drive if needed for a vet y'all can personally testify to.
I got this panther from vibrant reptiles, about 4 months ago. He's always had a little scaring on his face but has been a great eater with a snappy attitude. With the weather heating up he stopped eating and as my log reads he hasn't eaten since last Tuesday (2/13/18) and before that It was the 9th or 10th. Usually eats daily with a variety including horn worms, discoids, superworms, crickets and the occasional anole/house gecko- (all goat loaded, and repashy calcium plus every other feeding.)
The last time he ate (the 13th) I could only entice him with a house gecko, which he when straight for. His eyes seem alittle shrunken and I've been keeping him hydrated (providing his misting schedule and supplying him with a pipette directly at least once a day. I take him outside a couple times a week and he seems to perk up. recently relocated him from his bio active setup (skyscraper) to a 3 solid sided enclosure modified repti breeze) to see if it would change his behavior aswell...
His waste has been pretty much liquid since he hasn't been eating and the past two days I've came home from work to see him with his eyes closed mid-day.
Has a repti sun 5.0 for UV and mini Zilla halogen 25 watt for basking
Misting system running x3 daily (roughly 1 minute, 1 minute and a 3 minute set.)
Here's some recent pics. Strangely his colors have gotten brighter during these past couple of weeks regardless of the decline in health? he last shedded about two months ago.
I'd also like to know if anyone has bought a panther from vibrant reptiles what your experience has been with them. The company told me that they're mostly a wholesale breeder so he's captive bred with his sire being one of they're main breeders and his mother was a wild caught.
Any suggestions/recommendations would be much appreciated!
