  The YMCA is the cheapest, and if that's still too expensive then you can sign up for lower rate, no-one is turned away for not having the finances to go. Otherwise you can keep your eyes peeled for deals dealradar.com has coupons almost daily for monthly memberships... you can gym-hop using those. :)
