Anyone got a desert camp in Wadi Rum to recommend?

We did business with http://wadirumtours.com/ and Bauke is still calling all bedoeins Saleh. We also stayed in the apartment of Tudor (mentioned in this website) in Tala Bay. Tala bay is nicer than aqaba, although a little artificial. Madaba is closer to the airport than Amman and has some interesting sights. We stayed in Black iris hotel, they have familyapartment with 3 rooms. Basic, but spacious and fine for 1 night.

6 years in Oman is why we opted out of Wadi Rum. Even Feynan's location is very much like the wadis, tho the lodge itself is mudhouse-chic. Don't miss the Dead Sea tho - you'll have fun slathering yourselves with mud and trying your best to sink! (see my Jordan album ) But if you do go, bring water shoes as the bottom can be quite sharp.
