  Check out [ProperSuit](http://www.propersuit.com) or [Thick as Thieves](http://www.thickasthievesla.com). You'll have to road trip up to LA to get fitted, but you'll get a bespoke suit out of the deal. ProperSuit could probably get you something for $650. Otherwise you can do [BlackLapel](http://www.blacklapel.com) or [Indochino](http://www.indochino.com). I would go for the former in that scenario. You're not going to get what you're looking for for less than $500 at any local tailor.
