  A fellow Fan and CF'er just moved states and is looking for a good Box to join in the Shreveport, La area....... any advice or recommendations for Samantha?!?! (she has looked at the map, she was just wanted to get a feel for a box from the ladies who attend the box recommend)

  I can't say enough about Red River Crossfit. I will say that all crossfit boxes are not created equal. The staff at RRCF is bar none the most qualified in town. My suggestion to you is to drop into each box and check them out for herself. I would love to meet her. Tell her to contact RRCF and try it out! Hope to see her at the box soon!!   Ahh, I feel for your friend…moving is hard enough, especially if you have to find a new box and leave your comfort zone. I would advise your friend to visit all the CF gyms here (there are not that many like in other bigger places) and see which she prefers. No two gyms are created equal…that’s for sure. However, I am a little biased too and can assure you that Red River CrossFIt will be the choice for her. These guys have been doing this for 5 years, and they have got it down. They have over 6 trainers , including women. The following area list of their accomplishments, just to name a few: 3 have bachelors in health and exercise science, 1 is a physical therapist, all have their level 1’s of course, certifications in CF endurance, CF power lifting, CF kettle bell training, CF Kids, USAW certifications …just off of the top of my head. They also offer regular CF classes, bootcamp classes, weightlifting classes coached by an OLY coach, CF kids classes and camps, ladies only classes, mobility classes and yoga. The community at RRCF cannot be described. We are all a family who have been through many ups and downs together in the gym and in life. So, yes they are a little bit more expensive, but you get what you pay for. Good luck to your friend and I hope that she finds the perfect fit for her. We miss you Shannon Dmytryszyn!   I used to go to Red River CrossFit in Shreveport and loved it. Cam Feightner is an amazing coach!

  I was a member at Red River CrossFit, and left kicking & screaming when we moved. They are incredible. I now live in northern Virginia (where you can't swing a kettlebell without hitting a CrossFit) and have yet to find a box that stands up to them. Brilliant coaches with exercise science degrees. The most welcoming atmosphere you can ask for. Balanced programming. You will be well cared for. I miss them SO much!

  Carly did a much better job of summing up Red River CrossFit than I ever could. She claims to be biased, but her assessment is spot on! I wish my time there wasn't cut so short, I was a better and less injured athlete when I was there.
