  Which book cover designers have you had good experiences with? I'm finally at the phase of my books where I need book covers, ISBNs, and Barcodes. I've had my eye on a few cover designers but the inconsistency in their work has me a little weary. For example, some look cheap and some look phenomenal. The text is a pretty important factor in the cover design so I want the designer to get it right. Does anyone here have any recommendations? I'd also be interested to hear from people who designed their own covers. I do banner and social media graphic design as a day job so I've been thinking about attempting my own cover, but it seems like it's heavily frowned upon.

  I've had some from http://www.goonwrite.com which I'm very happy with. I've also designed some of my own, but I'm pretty shit at it. Since you're already a professional graphic designer, go for it! To my mind it's fonts that make or break a cover, and I'm sadly shit with fonts. You're probably awesome.

  I’ve had some good success finding covers at www.goonwrite.com. You have to hunt for what’s right for your cover but they are affordable and support series.
