  Has anyone had crawl space vent enlarged in a brick house? To reach an 11 foot flood rating, I am told I need to convert access door to mesh and enlarge another vent (surveyor to call with size). He says anyone who knows how to cut brick can do this, but I would like to find someone with experience with this. I know this was discussed but don't remember if any names were given.   Barbara: if youre only slightly lacking a minimal amount of venting inches, ck out Smartvent.com. My cert engineer clued me in this, but i did not have to use any. Thru some extraterrestrial Magic, FEMA has approved these
