  We're new in the area and have only gone to MSU's Vet clinic. Can anyone recommend a good Vet in the area that's not as expensive as MSU's? we visited the msu vet clinic to get up to date on vaccines and paid almost 3 times as much as we used to at our old vet in metro detroit.

  Patterson's in Mason is very affordable, but because of that, they're often pretty busy. http://www.pattersonvethospital.com/ You can call to schedule an appt, but they also have daily walk-in hours. For stuff like vaccinations, allergy shots, routine meds, etc, they really cant be beat.
