  Bob R. wrote: BEWARE!! SHADY TACTICS!! Our experience with owner, Arlan Potter, was TERRIBLE! He gave a reasonable estimate in our first conversation, and expressed great confidence in being able to do the job for close to that price. He said he would be here early the next morning and would be able to quickly determine if we had a slab leak. If so, he said he would bring in a professional leak locator. Instead, he sent a tech, without any of the needed locating equipment. 2 hours later, we have holes in our walls, and our beautiful master bath tub has been removed ( and chipped ), and the tech calls Arlan to convince him to send the professional leak locator, because the tech doesn't want to cut any more holes. About 3 hours after the damage is done, Arlan finally shows up with the locator, and guess what? The leak is no where near our master bathroom! So, with our large tub sitting in the middle of the bathroom, Arlan says his price is DOUBLE the original estimate, and it'll be 4 more days before they can get to it. He shows up 4 days later with an attitude, as if we've done something to him. He's unhappy that I said he should've been here with the locator that first morning, instead of sending a tech without the proper equipment. Thinking he can hold us hostage, because our bathroom is tore up, he now demands pre-payment before starting work that should've been completed last week. There are many honest and competent plumbers out there, ....and, there are some to avoid, be careful with this one!

  Anyone know of a plumber who can take down a drywall and weld up some pipes to the water heater an do a flush of the water heater to clean it (heard that is needed every so many years) while I'm at it, anyone know of an awesome mural artist?   Anyone have a plumber they love locally? Water heater is leaking, it's 13 years old so it probably needs replacing. Happy to give the work to a local business rather than home depot.
