So my physio tells me I need one of these foam rollers - anyone know a cheap place to find and what size good for IT band massage?

I firmly believe you should do whatever is right for your own body but I also believe in making informed choices. I don't know about you but I only have so much time to commit to fitness so I want too be totally sure what I'm doing is worthwhile. Havi ng said that I have put a lot of effort into researching foam rollers because they seem to be the in thing right now. I've especially researched them in regards to IT band issues because I've had that problem myself. The bottom line seems to be - don't waste your time. The foam roller won't do anything for a real IT band problem. Check this link, but also check his references and other people's follow ups. If you still think it's worthwhile to roll your IT band then that's awesome, you do what works for you. http://www.thebodymechanic.ca/.../stop-foam-rolling-your.../
