Recommendation on good transmission shop So I’ve got a manual transmission vehicle and the clutch is starting to slip. I’m going to need a new clutch imminently. I have a decent regular mechanic that I go to but I want to get a couple quotes from an actual transmission shop. Can anyone recommend any places in town? I just need a place that I can trust aren’t trying to bleed me for every cent as this isn’t going to be a cheap repair. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Victoria Transmission and Auto Care on Government Street. www.victrans.com Great staff, great work, and fully transparent. Honestly can't recommend them enough. Been going there for years, I've since recommended several people to them and they've all had great experiences, too. They'll give you a detailed quote free of charge no problem. But FYI replacing a clutch is usually a pretty standard job so it shouldn't be too bad no matter where you take it.
Anyone know a good mechanic who specializes in older muscle cars? (1979 or later) I'm considering buying an old Camaro but I'd like to make sure it's mechanically sound. Any suggestions?

Does anybody have a mechanic here in Victoria that they would recommend?
