  Looking for a friendly dentist for someone with anxiety I was hoping I could put off finding a dentist in NYC for a while longer, but I just lost a filling so I'll need to find one ASAP. It would be nice to find an affordable dentist since I don't have dental insurance, but the main thing is that I need someone gentle and patient because I have always had a fear of the dentist. Please let me know if you know of one who makes you feel really comfortable. Manhattan is preferable but I'm willing to travel a bit.

  I too had put off going for years and finally gave up and when to [Madison Dental Group](http://www.madisondental.com/) and send anyone who asks to them. I personally use [Dr. Reskakis](http://www.madisondental.com/our-doctors/our-doctors3#dr_reskakis) who is always very nice and eased me back into going to the dentist. Filled a few cavities and now I've been cavity free for a few years. All the hygienists are nice, front of office staff are efficient and the office runs like clock work couldn't ask for more.   Dr. Jonathan Mender. http://www.madisondental.com/ and Stephanie is a great hygienist. Plus they've got a great view from the exam room.
