I'm ISO of a local, licensed contractor to do some home repairs -- including: in laundry room -> placing a new base floor and flooring, and painting baseboards (and maybe walls). In playroom -> replace carpet padding and lay existing carpet (which may involve stretching) and cleaning/deodorizing heavy stains in bonus room. If carpets are beyond repair ... we would like assistance with laying of new carpet/padding. In garage -> insulation & drywall installation for the ceiling in our garage, fluorescent light installed and re-wired, seal the surface area w/ latex based stain blocker and paint the walls and ceiling. FYI: We had flood from our washer, and have made a claim with our home insurance, and I'm going from the estimate given, on what should be done for repairs. We have already had a company come out and dry out everything, and now we are left with needing the repairs to be done, so we can put the mess behind us!

handy-man recommendations? i have a few small projects around the house that need attention. the biggest job would be replacing a piece of siding on the very top of my house that blew off and was destroyed in a storm. i need somebody that's reliable and honest. please don't recommend them if they haven't personally worked for you. thanks!
