  Katy/West Houston friends with thyroid issues: Any recommendations for a good endocrinologist/functional medicine doctor/internist/other doctor in the area who orders complete thyroid testing and prefers to prescribe NDT (natural desiccated thyroid)? I'm thinking of making an appt with Dr. Hotze but I've heard he is ridiculously expensive and not covered by most insurance. Of course health is most important, especially right now.   He treats my fybro & sjorgens. His name is Dr. Tayar. The# is 800-392-1611 & ask for internal medicine clinic. He is in the mays clinic which is easy to get to & they pretty much always run on schedule.
