Any hiker/photographers here recommended a good backpack which can fit your camera gear and decent space for hiking essentials (food/water/jetboil etc) as im stuggling to find one with secure camera compartments? Cheers.
So I'm getting some money tomorrow and I'm considering buying for A mount FF:
70-200 2.8
A nice FF wide lens
A very good large bag
Any recommendations? Places to buy?

Let's see: -70/200 f2.8: if you can find a first generation Sony and you're photography doesn't require a faster AF, so the old G comes quite cheap nowadays. Tamron I think it's better than Sigma: some Sigma users (confirmed by tests and reviews as well) say that at 200 and fully open it can get too soft. I, personally, would go for the Sony: it's really sharp and lenses are here to stay. Good lenses are an investment; - Wide angle: prime or zoom? I have the first version of the Sony/Zeiss 16/35 f2.8 and I couldn't be happier. I bought the 16 fisheye as well: awesome rendering and sharpness, but that's a lot more "special lens"; - Bags: backpacks or shoulder bags? I bought 2 different backpacks (I like those better than shoulder ones): Boblbee ProCam 500XT (which I think it's out of production) and one F-Stop. The first one is nice because it's not super duper big, it's rigid and designed to protect what's inside: I can fit an iPad, my A900 with the 70/400GII attached, the RX1, the NEX6 with the 18/55 attached, the 16/35, the 24/70 and the fisheye (or any combination of these three "small lenses") and you can buy accessories to attach different things on the outside (extra pouches and other stuff). The second one is a bit bigger but made really well: you can buy different size of interior pockets so you can decide if you wanna pack more or less camera things or leave more or less room for other stuff inside the backpack. Once the camera pocket is in place (and secured thru straps) inside the backpack, you can easly reach all the gear by opening the part of the backpack which is against your back. You open the zipper and everything is at hand right away. You'll find them at http://packs.point65.com and at fstopgear.com (my model is called Loka, but I think they might have changed something). This is the Boblebee ProCam XT500
I am looking for a camera bag (DSLR) i can take with me for when I go on hiking trips (or outdoors anywhere really) that won't really be a nuisance on my like my current shoulder bag. Any suggestions?

Check out http://fstopgear.com/ as they make camera bags specifically for adventure, camping, hiking, etc. I have a Millar Series Bandon bag and it's comfortable wearing cross shoulder. I also carry my camera on a Black Rapid strap which is a nice thing to have when out walking.
