MyOther_UN_is_Clever asked:
Can anybody recommend a good roofer? (NOT insurance covered) My roof was appraised as "end of life" when I bought the house. My insurance company said it wouldn't be covered until replaced (same with another I spoke with).
Every roofer that comes by is quoting twice as much in labor as when I got quotes a year ago, and I'm sure it's because of all the hail we had this season. Pretty early in the conversation, they eagerly try and talk about how they'll "take care of all the work with dealing with the insurance company." When I tell them it isn't covered, they all seem convinced that I'm wrong somehow, because they did work on a nearby house and it was covered. Some have straight up not finished the quote or gotten back to me once I finally convinced them that they wouldn't be getting a check cut from an insurance company (Premier doesn't even do ANY jobs that aren't insurance related, if that tells you something...)
