Online applications aren't a bad thing, what matters is how you're treated after that. A lot of lenders want to automate the loan process so they don't ever have to talk to clients.
After over 18 years in the mortgage business, the best part of my job is the people. My assistant and I work hard to give our clients the options that fit them best, which often requires more work on our part. The thing is, our clients are worth it. We take the time research the available programs and then present our clients with the best options.
We also make sure that our clients understand the mortgage process from beginning to end, and we keep them updated as their loan moves along. We provide clients with online options that can make things easier, but we're also happy to get on the phone and talk things through.
